Welcome to Peake Services
You have reached Alan and Kirsty Peake's web pages. You may have been
searching for Animal Behaviour and Training, Lakeland Terriers, Wolves
or maybe just us! Whatever, it is all here.
We live in the South West corner of England, UK, in the county of Devon, in the National Park of Dartmoor. From here in our idyllic setting of thatched cottage and magnificent views we run our business, hobbies and life.
Business wise, Alan is a Civil Engineer and works freelance within the construction industry as a Project Manager. This takes him away from home some times. He certainly has a wide and varied experience of working within the industry. Some of his work has involved him travelling overseas to the Middle East though nowadays he is mainly based in the UK. He has been involved in desalination projects, fibre optic cable laying, turnkey projects of factories and supermarkets, tunnels and roads.
Kirsty is a qualified Animal Behaviourist and a Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. She is also a member of the Professional Speakers Association and carries out many speaking engagements around the UK talking on a variety of subjects including The History of the Dog, Wolf Behaviour and Ecology, The Modern Dog and Behaviour.
She is a Tutor with COAPE (Centre of Applied Pet Ethology). She and her colleague Jo Scott have written and now tutor a course on Pet Care as a Profession. In 2007 Kirsty wrote a course on Wolf Behaviour and Ecology and she now tutors this with Dr. Peter Neville. All COAPE courses are accredited to the Open College Network. Visit www.coape.co.uk for more information.
Alan and Kirsty enjoy walking their dogs on Dartmoor. They also own Polly, the parrot, who is now in her sixties.
